On Going Development

As a successful business we can only improve quality and performance by continually developing our people - and their potential - throughout their time at Garlands.

Every member of staff has a Personal Development Plan as part of our Performance Management System (Shine).  This helps each individual to focus on areas of development that fully bring out their strengths.

A wide variety of imaginative methods are used as developmental tools, ranging from one-to-one coaching sessions to secondments to Radio Ga Ga, our in-house radio station. By focusing on the particular development  needs of the individual, we believe we can tap into the unique creative ability of every staff member.

Continuous development is crucial for all employees at all levels ensuring that they can continually grow in their roles - regardless of what role they are in, or what level of seniority.

Our Management Development Trainers facilitate workshops that equip our more senior people with the tools and techniques required to support them in their roles - enabling them to grow, enhance their skills and become inspirational leaders in their everyday work.

Continuous in-role support is provided by the Management Development Team through various structured and unstructured development opportunities.
