Learning and Development

Garlands develops blended learning solutions for its personnel in partnership with clients and in line with their requests and expectations.

The Garlands L&D team offers a range of face-to-face training solutions, with Classroom Training used extensively for soft skills training as part of our Operational and Management Development training activities. Our skilled training teams also deliver facilitation, live training (using presentations, role plays and simulations, group activities and discussions, competitions and games etc), coaching and workshop discussions.

Our Learning and Development (L&D) and IT teams also jointly deliver innovative e-learning solutions that are particularly effective for systems and non-soft skills training.

Learning and Development opportunities are provided to all Garlands personnel:

  • Induction programmes are conducted for all new recruits
  • New agent recruits can also benefit from the Garlands Academy that is conducted in a semi-live environment
  • Management Development initiatives include the Garlands University programme, a Team Manager programme, and a variety of NVQs and self-directed, blended solutions (including e-learning packages, regular bite-sized role-specific e-interventions, and an on-line Learning Resource Centre).

Continuous development and life-long learning is a strong focus of the Garlands’ L&D team. By offering a variety of learning and development solutions, we cater for a range of learning styles and preferences, incorporating accelerated training techniques wherever possible.
