Touch

Touch is an holistic people development programme designed to give Garlands’ employees valuable life skills that will benefit their career development.  Touch programmes extend beyond the contact centre and into the local community.  

Touch involves three strands:
  • Communication
  • Education
  • Community 
Garlands’ personnel can sign-on to the programme of their choice, which could involve a stint presenting on the company’s in-house radio station, Radio Ga Ga, doing numeracy mentoring in local schools, or supporting drug/alcohol abuse or domestic violence groups in the community.  

Employees taking part in Touch have brought valuable learning back to the workplace – and by improving skills such as listening, public speaking, presentation and mentoring, employees have taken a more active role at work.
